Of course it’s another

, but it’s not just any E90 M3, it’s basically the exact M3 I was searching for back in 2014. When I was searching I wanted a white sedan with a 6MT, leather and iDrive; this is that car.

This is the consequence of unnecessary car shopping, you eventually come across the car you always wanted. That said, I would have not been able to enjoy an M3 for 3.5 years if I had waited until I found this one. While the price might seem high, it seems to be fair based on other examples. I think the litmus test of find another one works pretty well here. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Just buy that DCT M3 in that blue arcane whatever color.

It’s not Necessary Car Shopping with E90M3 until you find a good one with cloth seats.

Silverstone Metallic, sounds like you need to memorize your BMW colors; I know you’ve already done that for Lexus.

Leave my Smoky Granite Mica ISF, Mystic Gold Metallic LS400, and Classic Silver Metallic RX350 alone!

I know it’s only been a month but I haven’t yet stumbled upon a car for sale and thought “oh man I should have bought that instead of my car.” I don’t think I’ve ever gone this long without buyer’s remorse.

Apparently my wife’s RX is rare because Classic Silver Metallic was a 2009 only option and only offered on the 2nd gen RX350(made for one year) and the 2008 RX400h.

I’ll have to look, those seem to be the ones with all the miles on them.

For $10k less I think I would be quite happy with the DCT.

I don’t have buyers remorse, because it was at least 2 years before I found one that I would have bought over mine. Plus it’s not 2014 so 15k one owner E90 M3s don’t really show up on the market, so I think I did alright, which is why I shop for the same car I already own. Same with my 328i, there really isn’t anything comparable to it on the market.

To each his own, I just feel like I’m missing out on something with the DCT. I enjoy driving my dad’s 135is, with the DCT. I think I could own one, but I would have to have a row my own for the weekends otherwise I would be looking for a new car.

I don’t have a particular need for a clutch and would be perfectly fine with something that shifts quickly and will hold whatever gear I tell it too. I’m also in a position where my Mini is going to be sticking around for a LONG time so I will always have a clutch around for when I do want it.

If I understand correctly I think you like M3s

Fir a second I thought you meant you paid 15k for your car
![]() 02/27/2018 at 11:14 |

That might be a bit of an understatement.
![]() 02/27/2018 at 11:14 |

Nah, 15k miles. I wish I paid 15k. Hell, 15k would still be less than the down payment I made on it.

I just know I would get bored with an auto, it’s what happened with my 1. That said, I am thinking about getting an E92 M3 with a DCT to daily. I buy a car every time I get a promotion or a new job, why should this time be different.

Gosh, I can’t think of a reason why it should be $10k over a DCT. That’s some Ferrari level BS right there. I’m noticing the same trend on Chevy SS’s in the “I KNOW WHAT I HAVE.” crowd.

The lower mileage manuals aren’t exactly common, they only sold 1055 LCI E90s in the US and Canada with a manual. I am surprised that they’re commanding this much of a premium. That said, carmax offered me 29k for my car. I can’t remember what the difference was back in 2014 between the DCT and 6MT, I do know that good manual examples were on the market for less than a week. Pretty sure I called the day after mine was listed.

Yeah it’s just got the 219Ms, like mine.

If having E9Xs wasn’t outrageous enough.

Ahh...it is near Del Ray Beach, my grandmother and a Pinball museum that serves beer and pizza.
So it is the same year as mine and close to 40k? Geez...did they go up in value again?
You wanted the better wheels...don’t settle!

The prices on sedans have remained stubbornly high. They just now dipped bellow 40k.

Ew yourself.
Also, I messaged you a few days ago.

The coupes are less expensive? Or more?
![]() 02/27/2018 at 12:29 |

15k is sill less than the price of a decent 335

Less expensive.

I paid 50k for the M3 back in 2014.

That’s interesting to know. I’ve had my eyes peeled for a v8 sedan with a manual. That basically limits to M3/M5 (older), and SS. I saw an SS listed today in San Jose that meets those specs but the VIN showed that it spent 3 years running around Wisconsin. I don’t do snow cars.
Is the manual in the M3 actually a good feeling stick? Keep in mind, I’m a Miata owner.

It’s the last N/A M car, so I think values for good examples will remain stubbornly high.
I think it’s a pretty good feel. I’ve test driven an ND Miata and it might not be as good as that, but I still think it’s good. When I got it, the shifting was really sloppy, but I think a tech tighten up the linkage because after I got it back after a service it was noticeably better. I’ve heard a short shift kit helps, but those all seem to be $400.
